Stephen Silver is a journalist, film critic and editor specializing in the areas of film, pop culture, consumer technology, politics, sports and parenthood. He is a writer/editor with AppleInsider and a contributor to Philly Voice, Splice Today, Broad Street Review and Living Live Fearless.
He spent many years as an editor for Napco Media, where he served as founding editor-in-chief and film critic for The TechnologyTell Entertainment section and online editor for Dealerscope, Technology Integrator and Tell magazines, and the TechnologyTell network. After Napco, Stephen served as senior web producer with WTXF, FOX 29 in Philadelphia, and as a social media and marketing executive with Frank Recruitment Group.
His work has also appeared in Philadelphia Magazine, Tablet Magazine, RogerEbert.com, 50 States of Blue, New York Press, SB Nation, Screenrant, Sports by Brooks, NBC Sports Philadelphia and Philadelphia’s Patch websites.
In January of 2009, he became the first American journalist to interview both a sitting head of the FCC and sitting host of Jeopardy! on the same day.
A native of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and graduate of Brandeis University, Stephen lives in Broomall, Pa., with his wife Rebecca and sons Noah and Jonah.
